Our Mission
It can be hard in the times we live in to take a break and truly appreciate the world around us. The Hungry Soul wishes to change that by embracing food as a way to restore a sense of community to the world. The Hungry Soul’s driving force is the idea that when you give people something crafted with heart, whether it is a physical object or your undivided attention, they become willing to give you something in return. The sharing of food provides a forum in which people of various backgrounds can gather and connect to one another, and scenes such as these appear throughout countless classic plays and works of literature. By inviting audience members to share a themed meal in an intimate atmosphere, we strive to hone in on these scenes, break them down, and rebuild them into a new, interactive art form. Our performances are geared towards participants who are excited to enter a new sort of theatrical world, and who are willing to open their hearts and minds to a fun, accessible experience.
